Abraham’s journey continues with moments of fear and failure, yet God remains faithful. In Gerar, Abraham once again hides the truth about Sarah, and yet God intervenes to protect her. Even in human frailty, divine grace prevails. God’s promises are not undone by our missteps.

Then comes the mountain. God calls Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, the promised son. It is a test not of cruelty but of trust. Abraham walks in obedience, heart aching, yet eyes open to God’s provision. At the final moment, the Lord provides a ram. It is a holy foreshadowing that God Himself will provide the Lamb. Abraham names the place “The Lord will provide,” and it echoes through the centuries to the cross, where that promise is fulfilled in full.
