Devotional

Joseph’s tests finally reach a climax in Judah’s plea. No longer the cold-hearted brother who sold Joseph, Judah offers his life in exchange for Benjamin’s. This transformation marks a pivotal moment in Israel’s story, where repentance meets mercy, and brotherhood begins to be restored. Joseph reveals himself not out of revenge, but from weeping compassion. God’s providence wasn’t merely about preserving lives through famine; it was about restoring hearts and families.

Reconciliation begins with honesty and humility. But it’s sustained by love and vision. Joseph saw God’s hand at work beyond the betrayal. “God sent me before you,” he tells them. In this, we glimpse the pattern of redemption: God’s plans are always bigger than our failures, and He weaves grace even through pain.
