Covenant Beginnings

Devotional

The story moves quickly from the garden to the brokenness that spreads like wildfire. Cain’s offering revealed a heart distant from God, and jealousy drove him to murder his own brother. Humanity spiraled deeper into corruption, filling the earth with violence and pride. Yet God did not abandon His creation. In the midst of a world unraveling, He found Noah, a man who walked with Him when others walked away.

The flood was not just a judgment, but a reset. It was God’s sorrow over sin met with His longing to preserve life. As the rain poured and the ark held firm, we see a glimpse of deliverance through obedience. Even when the world feels chaotic and dark, God remembers. His justice is never without mercy, and His mercy is never without purpose.
