A monastery near Porto recorded a story about a monk who cared for the monastery’s bees. His devotion to them was so strong that when he fell ill, the bees reportedly swarmed around his window as if sensing his suffering. When he passed away, the bees briefly left the monastery, only to return later and continue producing honey. The event was noted in the monastery’s chronicles as a sign of divine harmony between humans and nature.
