During World War II, when the world was consumed by chaos, the people of Uzbekistan showed incredible generosity. Many families opened their homes to orphaned children, offering them love and safety. One such family, the Shomahmudovs from Tashkent, adopted 14 children, a testament to the deep compassion that ran through the hearts of the Uzbek people during those dark times. This act of kindness was not isolated but rather a reflection of the collective spirit of giving and care that defined the nation.
