After his brother Amit tragically took his own life in March 2018, the author dedicated himself to supporting others facing hardship. In the months leading up to Amit’s death, the author had worked tirelessly to help him with rent, bills, food, and job hunting, even flying him back home from Los Angeles to Ireland to give him a fresh start. Despite all this care and support, Amit struggled deeply and ultimately decided to end his life.

Motivated by this loss, the author committed to offering practical help and emotional support to those in need. They provided assistance by fulfilling wishlists for essentials like groceries, clothes, or pet food, and made themselves available as a listening ear for anyone feeling lonely or overwhelmed. They used platforms like Discord, WhatsApp, Hangouts, and Reddit chat to connect with people, emphasizing that no problem was too small or too large to face together.

Through this ongoing effort, the author sought to ease the burden of loneliness and hardship, sharing the hard-learned lesson that no one should have to struggle alone. Their goal was to be a steady source of kindness and support, helping others find hope and connection amid difficult times.
